Jones Hill Condos have been in high demand for years now since the condo market has been hot in Dorchester, MA.
Situated in the north part on Dorchester, Boston's largest neighborhood, Jones Hill has been known to be a magnet for people looking to be close to downtown, the South End and the train stations on the Red Line. With views of downtown as well as the harbor, residents have enjoyed life in an area with a large amount of older victorian homes with tons of detail. This area has been a haven for developers who are looking to convert either three-families, two-families or other homes into Jones Hill condos.
While Dorchester has had its ups and downs like other areas of Boston and even Massachusetts, Jones Hill condos have more stable than other areas of Dorchester and have held their value longer.
Bordered by Pleasant Street, Stoughton Street, Columbia Road and Hancock Street, Jones Hill has 16 other streets which are as follows:
Sawyer Avenue
Cushing Avenue
Downer Avenue
Dewolf Street
Peverell Street
Salcombe Street
Hesston Terrace
Whitby Terrace
Windermere Road
Everett Avenue
Soughton Street Place
Mount Cushing Terrace
Upham Avenue
Jerome Street
Wilbur Street
Rowell Street
While for the most part, Jones Hill condos tend to be near the higher end, lower priced and affordable ones are also available with some foreclosures even available from time to time. As of this writing, the cheapest one to be had is a 2-bedroom on the 2nd floor of a converted triple-decker on Downer Avenue for only $169,900 and the most expensive one is $499,000 3-bedroom bi-level high-end conversion on Sawyer Avenue. There are at least 6 more available that fall in between the two just mentioned.
