So, you haven’t had a vacation in years. Or maybe you’ve attempted to get away from it all, but it seemed that there was always a call to take or an email to send and you found it impossible to put your blackberry down. As an agent, you’ve experienced the chaotic workday schedule and probably wonder what it’s like to get away from it all the way people with “normal” job schedules do. The Real Estate industry is a fast paced, moment to moment environment, which means you have to follow suit or fall behind.
And what about the holidays? Although it’s still technically “summer” the holiday season is right around the corner and the festivities will be here before we know it! Spending time with friends and family is the true purpose of the holiday season in its essence, but will you find yourself hovering in a corner with your uneaten piece of pumpkin pie while discussing water damage with a seller? When do you get a break?
Well, we’ve got a solution. Imagine this…
You receive 3 new listings on a Thursday. You spend time gathering the information and photos of the homes which you then send off to your Real Estate Virtual Assistant that evening. On Friday morning you head off to the airport to leave for your week long vacation to your dream destination where complete relaxation awaits.
On your way to the airport, you check your email and notice that your VA has confirmed receiving the new listings and they confirm that the marketing efforts will begin immediately. You take a deep breath and begin to relax; the extensive marketing efforts for your listings are being taken care of!
It’s Tuesday morning and you’ve enjoyed a full weekend at your destination, soaking in the sun or hitting the slopes. Your resort has a computer in the lobby and, since you left your laptop at home, (can you imagine!) you decide to casually check your email. In your inbox, you notice a few new emails from your Virtual Assistant, including the completed marketing efforts for your 3 new listings. You open the emails and see a complete list of every site your listing has been marketed on, with a link to each site.
You begin to go down the list and feel great to see that, within 48 business hours, your VA has posted your listing on your personal website, Craigslist, Postlets, Zillow and Trulia. They’ve enhanced the listing on Realtor.com and Point2Agent along with creating a single property domain that gives your listing its own website that potential buyers can easily access. Along with exposing your listing on these sites, your VA has created a Visual Tour which has also been fed to YouTube. Since you’re up on the latest marketing trends, your social media sites have been covered as well. Your listing has been posted on your blog, which has fed to your Facebook business page, and when checking your Twitter, you find your listing has been Tweeted about as well.
Attached to the email is a listing brochure that you can print off (or have your VA send to the printer). There’s also a Just Listed postcard attached for your approval. You look over it and see that everything looks good. You send a quick reply, even a simple “postcard approved” is enough, and your VA places the order for your postcard to be sent out to the list of your choice. Once your VA knows you’ve approved the marketing efforts, they take it one step further and send an email to your seller with all of the links that their listing is on, along with the flyer and postcard attached. The seller sees that the email is sent, not from your VA, but from your personal Marketing Team email account. Sellers LOVE this!
This flawless transaction takes place and your sellers get to SEE all of the extensive marketing efforts, all while you’re on vacation. Everyone’s happy…. and it’s only Tuesday. You enjoy the rest of the week long getaway and fly back into town on Saturday. You’re rested and relaxed. You have an open house the next day at your new listing, but you can rest easy because your VA has already advertised the open house on every website listed above. You’re expecting a great turn-out. Within two days, your new listing has been fully marketed and you’ve enjoyed an amazing week long vacation. And somehow, the world seems to be a better place.
