Friday, August 20. 16th Annual Gala "Summertime...and the art is good lookin'".

The McKissick Museum's annual gala is held in conjunction with "Summertime," a McKissick exhibit and art sale that will close with the gala. The gala will feature music, food, drinks, and more than 60 artists who are native South Carolinians or have strong ties to the state and provides an opportunity for the public to meet local artists. Works by all artists will be available for purchase during the gala, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the museum. 7:30-10 pm. Visit McKissick Museum for more information.

Don't you wish you could test things out before you buy them? Well you can! Head to Toys & Games, Etc for their weekly drop-in beginning at 6 pm. They have over 250 open games that you can test out...and you don't even have to read the directions because the helpful staff will teach you! Thursday, August 26. 3rd Annual Art with A Heart Show.

Wind down with tremendous artwork as well as dessert complimentary of The Melting Pot, refreshments and live entertainment. 701 Whaley will host this annual benefit art show which features the work of 20 well-known local artists. A portion of all proceeds will benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Columbia's cornerstone programs-the Ronald McDonald House and the Ronald McDonald Family Room.
