Curb Appeal

By

Staging a home is an important part of selling, but curb appeal is just as crucial. A potential buyer can drive up to a home and refuse to go in based on solely on the exterior appearance.  Read on to see what important factors affect curb appeal.

Lawn – According to the Harmonizing Homes blog, your lawn is one of the first things a potential client sees when they drive up to a home. Make sure it is manicured, weeded and trimmed in order to give the impression that your home is neat and well taken care of.

Flower Beds – Better Home and Gardens states that you should mulch your flower beds and plant fresh flowers. This will maximize the beauty of your home.

Home Exterior – Power wash, paint and repair the exterior of your home. You’d be amazed how fresh your home will look after power washing the siding or re-hanging a shutter.

Front Door – Freshen your front door by painting and updating hardware. Take it a step further by placing welcome mat at the door and potted plants on either side.

While this may seem like a lot of work, improving your home’s curb appeal will ensure better feedback from potential buyers, more inquiries based on web photos and more showings on your home. For more ideas on how to spruce up your home, view the linked photos

Hi AL and Mary~  First impressions do count.  The first thing a buyer sees is the front door and entrance.  It just has to look great!

Good job.  Yes I tell people it is like a job interview and setting the immediate first impression that is what cub appeal does.
