The Real Cost of Waiting

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Advantage 335893

Despite the story of record-low interest rates dominating headlines, many consumers still don't grasp the significance of the opportunity in front of them. What's more, many would-be buyers are convinced that prices will go down. We need to get around these objections and help buyers understand that low rates are the best thing they have going.

In addition to the low-rates chart below, we have developed a new calculator which shows that buyers waiting for the bottom of the market will miss it entirely. By presenting a comparison of today's prices and rates with several future scenarios, buyers will see first-hand how much money they can save monthly and over the life of a 30-year loan -- even if prices go down.

Take a look at the calculator. We can help you customize the example from your specific circumstances, so that we can show you the reasons why now is the best time to purchase a home.

Thanks All!

Our company provides great tools, yet there are many similar tools and widgets out there. We need to bring our clients to a place where they aren't overly concerned with the past or the future, both which are beyond anyone's control.

Has there ever been a better time to buy a home?!  Answer that question in real time, and not with the time machine. In Recent years the time machine really wouldn't have helped that much anyway.   ;-)

Nice illustration. I always am baffled at why many buyers sit on the fence? (May be, they don't know that affordability for buying a home is best in almost 4 decades...and noone is telling them.)

There are those who just need some more detailed statistics and general information. Real time data to interject within the discussion about price, terms and condition. We all know the rant from our parents...  "We had to walk to school through 8 feet of snow!!!".

When R & J went to school, we were down to about of 10 inches of snow we had to trek through to get to buildings on a snowy day. Now, any chance of flurries cancels the school day within the MD/DC/VA Metropolitan area.

Though we digress, this is the very best time to buy a home. If anyone else can see a better time without the time machine, have at it. Anyone who waits may be remorseful. Yet, all of our crystal balls get the same fuzzy channel.
