Of course I know this because my mortgage is due in a couple of weeks and, well lets just say I wish it wasn't. At times certain specific knowledge does not apply itself in my brain in different situations, and I find myself surprised when things happen that I should really not be surprised by.
This week's example occurred while driving to preview a couple of homes yesterday. I was cruising through town, minding my own business when suddenly and in the worst possible part of town for traffic, I was stopped by a caravan of large yellow buses. Yes, school started yesterday and now the traffic is awful not twice per day, but four times now. What had been planned as a 45 minute tour quickly turned into a 3 hour stop-and-go-fest.
The good news is that these new traffic stops are very localized and easy to miss. Also now there is much less competition on the local bike paths during the day! So if your town is like mine you can avoid these opportunities to sit and wonder if you will run out of gas, or whether you serviced your car recently enough to sit in the roaring heat of August in the South. If you do get stuck, especially in the afternoons, you can feel some comfort in at least one thing this means for sure. AT LEAST IT IS FOOTBALL SEASON!!!
