I moved to Royal Oak in May of 2007 after living my entire life in small towns in Northern Michigan.
One of my favorite things to do in Royal Oak is to take a walk threw the neighborhoods to downtown. The neighborhoods are lined with beautiful mature trees and I love to look at all of the houses. Then when I get to downtown I love to watch all of the people. I love how you can so many different people in the same place. I feel like this is a place where you can be yourself.
One of my favorite places in Royal Oak are the fountain outside the library, its one of my favorite places to sit and enjoy a rest from my walk. I also love Bruggers Bagels, its my favorite breakfast or lunch stop in Royal Oak. Now for dinner my favorite place in the Royal Oak Brewery, I always have the portabella mushroom sandwich.

I grew up outside of Traverse City (Northern Michigan) in a small town called Lake Ann. I spent the last five years at Michigan Tech going to college in Houghton, MI. So Royal Oak is a lot different, but its great!
