The August updates have been published to the site, and here are a couple of highlights... 1. There are a couple of changes to the Gwinnett County HOMEStretch I and II programs: • Borrowers will need to have lived in Gwinnett County for at least 60 days before they can apply for assistance. • All new construction must have a COO dated March 1, 2010 or later • All Gwinnett County assistance programs (including the NSP program) must now close with a Gwinnett County attorney 2. We have added a few new NSP programs to the website. The program names, and the assistance amounts for each, are below... • Dekalb County NSP2 Program - $25,000 (includes $4,000 towards closing costs) • City of Atlanta NSP Program - $20,000 • Douglas County NSP Program - assistance amount up to 20% of the purchase price (maximum $25,000), which includes up to $4,000 toward closing cost. • Fulton County NSP Program - $25,000, plus 5% toward closing costs (assistance amount based on household income) • Rockdale County NSP Program - assistance amount up to $14,500, plus buyers may receive 5% of sales price towards closing costs. 3. As a reminder, the GA Dream Recovery program has special guidelines for home buyers in federally designated disaster areas. A flyer is attached or your reference. This program is being offered for a limited time only, so make sure to take advantage while it's still available. 4. Last, but certainly not least, the GA Dream NSP Purchase Program is back for a limited time, and funds are sure to go fast! Homebuyers can receive up to $14,000 in assistance, forgivable over a 5.5 year term. We have added the program back to our site and will keep you updated on the funding status.
