"Best" MLS photos of the week - Bathroom Edition

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Green Realty Properties® - 954-667-7253 BK3175566

My MLS allows for only 16 photos and I make sure I take the BEST photos I can to give my seller the BEST exposure for their listing... Obviously not all agents feel the same way. Enjoy.

With so many cleaning products on the counter, one would think this bathroom picture would shine... no such luck.

Introducing New Product to the Market!!! The Electric Toilet Paper Roll!!!

There is just so many (bad) things to say about the photo below - I am going to leave it open for a vote....

Can the agent at LEAST turn on the light so we can see the amazing staging job the agent did prior to taking this photo?

The four photos above are what agents in my market thought would sell their listings. I cannot forget to mention that most of this photos were found on listings that did not sell (expired listings) and I suspect the sellers of these homes have no idea that their homes were presented to public this way.

Patty,

This is my biggest problem with those in my profession. Bad photos are part of it and the easiest to spot. What in the world do these agents think they are doing? First, they are NOT doing a good job of representing the client. Second, If they can't do such a simple thing right, how well are they hoing to do the rest of the job?

Finally, Listings are like a resume for Realtors(R). do these realtors want to be hired in the future?

Thanks patty.

Toilet seats left up, open closet doors, unmade beds-WHAT are these agents thinking? Simple things and a minimal amount of effort is sometimes all you need to get a good shot. Turn on lights, clear surfaces, take photos later in the day when the sun isn't so bright. Take lessons!

Lisa - Believe me when I tell you I believe you! LOL - Those are the photos I captured this week...

Brad - Amen - you and I see eye to eye - the listing is a Realtor's opportunity to show his/her "resume" and professionalism... you know what those photos say to me?? They say that the listing agent doesn't care about his/her listing, doesnt care about his/her seller and doesn't care about the selling agent or the buying public....

Jennifer - Tell me about it! Couldn't the agent of the first photo just take down the cleaning supplies from the counter? Seriously, is he/she that lazy/busy/arrogant??? Something is just NOT right.....

It is amazing how agents put those kinds of photos on the mls. And then these same agents wonder why they aren't getting showings. Ha!

Funny.  Is there a section where we can post "interesting" listing pics?

Maybe these were the after shots. Can you imagine what it looked like before?

Mark, That would make an interesting group on AR... why not start one.

Anna - the electric toilet paper roll is a favorite - LOL!!

Janice - Stagers AND common sense are needed!

Margaret - I do not even want to picture what they looked like if these are the "staged" photos. Hahaha...

It's a shame that 3rd bathroom is already sold...I've always wanted the convenience of a toilet in the dining room.

The best ones are photos that have the tub full of toys or the counter that you can tell every hair product they've used in the last decade.  The open toilet seats are always a hot seller!  :)

Haha!  I love the electric toilet paper.. Good one.  Amazing and so true the photos that agents put in mls that actually scare people away.  These are not the worst that is for sure.  I can't believe that half the agents out there still put photos with cars in front driveway or garbage cans out.  Come on people - be professional!

My favorite is the agent who took a picture of the flooring and included his/her toes, complete with toenail fungus!  YUCK!  Or the agent who took a pic of the sunroom,  with the dog taking a poop in the backyard! LOL!  Agents like these make our job SO much easier, don't they!  :)

The people that post photos like this degrade our profession. This is hit and run photography. Granted, there are properties that are challenged and there are properties that are average, but a simple photograph that represents the assets of the property is not that difficult to take. It doesn't take much thought or effort to simply clear things away when they interfere with the photograph. And it's easy to simply not publish a bad photo. No excuses.

Marianna - you should look at the "Variety Edition", I trust you will love the bathroom on that one.

Barrie - There is NOTHING more attractive than an open toilet seat (OK.. maybe toenails with fungus are worse - but not by a much).

Natalie - These photos "un"attract buyers.. not what sellers are looking for, I am sure.

Althea - YUCKY! That is gross! I wonder if the sellers ever get a chance to see what the agents have done with their listing... :(

Dava - There is nothing we can do about a property's bad features (outdated, ugly, etc..) but there is SO much these agents could have done and decided not to... It seems they are lazy, they are a disgrace to our professional and let's not even mention the disservice to the sellers.

I love the one with the glass blocks for privacy in the loo... or is it the dining room, I can see the two chairs!  Great job with capturing these, although it shouldn't bee too hard with the selections some folks choose!
