It appears that Philadelphia is now taxing bloggers and requiring business licenses of them, even if they make very little profit.
In a news article from the Washington Examiner it is reported that the City of Philadelphia wants bloggers to have a business license costing $300 plus to pay taxes on any income received from blogging or websites, regardless of how little the income is.
Are they coming after any of you agents from Philly who bet business from their blogs, or are you already covered by business licenses for real estate, staging, whatever? Are you even required individual business licenses or are you covered by your brokers license.
I hope that other cities don't go this route!
