Enjoy the Last Days of Summer with Carnival Games, Rides, Food and Fun at Buffalo Grove Days in Buffalo Grove, IL.
One of the high points of being a Buffalo Grove resident (and it is hard to pick just one) is the end-of-summer blast, Buffalo Grove Days. This 5-day event, put on entirely by volunteers for the community, is the perfect way to cap off a great summer. Live music, carnival rides, games, food and crafts are just a few of the things you and your family can enjoy.
Buffalo Grove Days Information and Tips
1. Parking - I have always had great luck parking just south of Lake-Cook Road off of Raupp Blvd. The residents there are very accommodating, but please remember to be considerate when parking your car. Don't block drives and make sure you obey the posted speed limit. You will find tons of kids running around and their safety comes above all else. If you would rather not walk the few short blocks from neighborhood parking, there are always shuttle buses running at multiple locations in both Lake and Cook counties.
2. Find a Central Meeting Spot - If you are going to Buffalo Grove Days with your family, designate an emergency meeting spot before you get out of the car. With everything going on, its easy for younger kids to become separated. If you have an emergency meeting place ahead of time, you will save yourself the time and panic of looking for a lost child.
3. Bring Bug Spray - We are still in the midst of the worst mosquito summer in recent history, so don't forget the bug spray.
4. Don't Miss the Fireworks - Still my favorite part of Buffalo Grove Days. The Buffalo Grove Days fireworks display is Sunday, September 5th at 9:15 and, in my opinion, is even better than the 4th of July's presentation.

Over the next few days, we'll spotlight some of the unique entertainment for you and try and give you a sneak peek at some of the delectable goodies that will be offered in the food tent.
If you're anything like me, even with school starting and Didier Farms beginning to prepare for the annual Pumpkinfest , I just can't let go of summer and prepare for fall until I've seen the last firework fade at the end of Buffalo Grove Days. Have a great time at the festival and relish the last few (official) days of summertime in Buffalo Grove.
