Last weekend parking was at a premium at the Byron Optimist Sports Complex 
on Boler Road. I was driving to the Riverbend Golf Community for our Club C in the morning and all the fields were full with spectators abound.
Driving back home later in the evening, the park was still full. I thought of the volunteers and the families that make up the community and the effort put forward for our youth.
In this day and age when we hear of lack of parental care, inactive children and community indifference, it encourages me to praise the families of Byron and London who make the are vibrant and safe.
