Is there hope on the horizen...?

Real Estate Agent with Howard Hanna Lakewood
so.. let me say it to you this way... there is no plan "B". When I got into Real Estate 3 years ago, I came from a creative/performance. I toured with a musical group all over the country playing at the most beautiful venues one could hope to, and I sincerely have no regrets..at all. But I had no "sales" experience to add to my resume. I did have experience in selling what I believed in though, which was myself and my music and I felt that, that would translate well into selling Real Estate... at least in theory. But now we come to this crazy time in the real estate market .. in general. At this stage, pointing fingers isn't needed.. just tell me, what do I do? I have almost 30 listings and have opportunity to get more, I am by myself still with no assistant, am not getting calls, sign or Internet, and need to pick ANY buyers just to keep going. Right now I have no buyers and see, there is no plan "B"' leaving me no choice, but what do I do first.. literally. Can anybody be in the same situation? ...time to brainstorm.. you know?                                                                                                         the show

If you have 30 listings you should have deals on the table. If not, you need to work on your price reduction dialogue with the sellers and get them. If not, work with a stager, they will either listen to the stager and do what it takes to sell with money and time OR they will reduce their price. Also bring in all of the comps. Send the sellers or drop off comps at least once per week. Let the market speak for itself.

Lori.. great advice, and I appreciate your time. A lot of my market properties are upside down, and I can't do much about them... probably 40% of my listings, but the rest I will, "boldly" approach them and request that they should reduce.. hopefully I'll get some of them sold that way, and if not get some calls from them. Should I even take any more...

You're an amazing Realtor and a great list agent. Your patience and care toward your clients beams from within you and it shows. Compassion and professionalism. Keep listing as long as the marketing isn't pulling you down. Keep smiling though the heart of the industry and market may be weary. You're certainly my favorite agent and one that I would want listing properties for my clients. Proud to know you. Stay strong and get those 30+ in escrow.
