One of my recent blogs was of a beautiful sunrise in Jamaica, with calm seas and magnificent views! What I didn't mention was the unfortunate moment when I decided that playing with sea life was a GREAT IDEA. The really bad or funny thing was that I was thinking of Steve Irwin--Alligator guy who died messing with a Sting Ray, on my way down to check one of these guys out. I felt like I was conquering the world by touching one of these Electric Sting Rays (now I know this) ---REALLY DUMB IDEA! What the heck was I thinking or NOT THINKING? The tail got me in the right hand and I am still recovery today, four weeks later, with slowly healing nerve damage.
Might I mention that I was back out at the pool within five hours of the sting. Although drugged out of my mind, 6 shots later and seeing four of everything, I was not going to let the Sting Ray get the best of me or my vacation. Goes with out saying but my wife was not too impressed by my manliness or my boyish curiousity.
This is how you feel, before making a bad decision!
What have we learned today? DON'T TOUCH A STING RAY!
