Sharp Hill Winery

I went to the Sharp Hill Winery in Pomfret, CT this weekend and had the best time! We did not have a reservation (strongly suggested) but there was a cancellation so we were able to experience the wine tasting(very cute and cozy room).  After tasting 5 different wines, we went upstairs to the restaurant. WOW! What a beautiful and eloquent place. It reminded me of a french chateau, hand painted murals, working fireplace, real candlesticks at each table! We both ordered the salmon and again, WOW!  After dinner we decided to splurge and order the Princess white cake with raspberry sauce. Again another wonderful and tasty meal.  It was raining out so we could not go out into the vineyard.  I would highly recommend going to Sharp Hill, you won't be disappointed.
