Stearns County is holding a Summer Favorites Photo Contest, amateurs only, to gather pictures of fun things to do in Stearns County Minnesota area and its activities, events and people. The pictures will be featured on the county website and the winners will be featured on promotional literature. So if you have had fun this summer in Stearns County and have some fantastic pictures of the area be sure to pull them out and send them in, or go enjoy some fun activities and take your camera. The deadline for entries in the Summer Favorites Photo Contest is Tuesday August 31st.
All entries must be original work from non professional photographers and may be in color or black and white photography. Be sure to set your camera to the highest possible resolution as the pictures submitted must be at least 300dpi.
All of the pictures submitted will be placed on the Stearns County Photo Gallery with the photographers of the top 10 pictures receiving an annual pass to Stearns County Quarry Park and Nature Preserve. Pictures entered into the contest will be rated based upon content, creativity, and how it relates to the theme Summer Favorites, picture quality will also come into play for the judging but it is secondary to the content.
For the last 65 days I have been writing about wonderful reasons to love Saint Cloud and Central Minnesota and I am very happy to know that Stearns County is promoting the area through it's Summer Favorites Photo Contest. Just keep in mind that not all of St. Cloud is in Stearns County, there are sections of town that are in Benton and Sherburne County, and for your entry to qualify it must be a picture from Stearns County. So get out your favorite pictures of family, friends, swimming, fishing, flowers, fairs, events and other local Stearns County attractions and help celebrate all of the fun things to do in Stearns County.
