WOMEN...WHAT'S UP...WITH...MADE-UP...MAKE-UP...? men may comment too
If you don't pass this test, you can make it up later ... =)
Ladies greetings and my personal thanks for you being here, not just to read my post, but to enjoy your company as we travel through life. Whoever said...."It is not good for man to be alone" had it right. If you don't mind, I would like some clarity on the subject of cosmetic "MAKE -UP" to better understand you and what you are trying to accomplish
Make-up defined:....to change from one form to another.
"Over the centuries, women used burnt matches to darken their eyes, berries to stain their lips and young boys' urine to fade their freckles. They even swallowed ox blood in some misguided attempt to improve their complexions".
Now girls, I always believed that MAKE-UP" was unnecessary. I am able to look at someone and appreciate them for who they are and what they are & whatever I see.....To me, beauty is defined by the whole experience (inner & outer) and not a check-off list. When the beauty of the inside lines up with the outside, the experience can be very pleasant to the observer, the giver, and the receiver....
My casual thoughts and curiosities.........
- I also realize that it can be used to accent or high lite a feature that you think worthy to do...but why?
- Am I wrong for thinking that women believe that if they do not wear MAKE-UP, they cannot compete with those that do?
- Why do some women put on so much? What are they saying & speaking here? What's the message?
- Do they know they are doing it?
- Is it worth the time and the trouble to do all this? What is the return on time and trouble invested?
- Do women tell other women if their MAKE-UP is not right?
- Did you know there was a time when prostitutes were called ....painted ladies? Doesn't that "imply" that what they "apply" was inappropriate?
Look, all I am saying is that I like simpleness and naturalness. In foods, in traveling, in conversations and people, accepting the natural "package" is the primary concern and.... not how to wrap it up nicely....... Think: The natural beauty of nature, sunsets, ocean views, landscapes and........a woman.......
In the Real Estate industry and corporate circles, I do not see glamor as an effective tool. While it garners attention, just what kind of attention it attracts is worth noting. Could it be a distraction? Is it a substitute for the "real thing"? Women were not put here to be used, but appreciated for their multiple talents. Using too much MAKE-UP detracts from that. My parting thought is simply this.......
THE WOMAN IS THE PRIZE. SHE MAKES THE CLOTHS, JEWELRY, HAIRSTYLE AND SHOES ALL MEAN SOMETHING. WITHOUT HER INNER GUIDING LIGHT SHINING BRIGHTLY, THE ELEGANT LADY WITHIN WILL ALWAYS COME IN SECOND TO THE ADVERTISED, MADE-UP GOODS
But, what do I know.......? I am just a man....
