Ken makes some great points here about FB and how it related to your database.

Realtors often ask me "Why are you so active on facebook?"

facebook

"Is it good for business?  Have you sold a lot of homes using facebook?"

Yes, facebook is great for business.  And no, I haven't sold a lot of homes through facebook.  Yet...

Facebook is fun.  I wouldn't use it if I didn't like it...

I enjoy staying in touch with people.  Lots of people.  I like being "in the loop".

There is also tremendous business potential with facebook...

When I became an agent 5 years ago, my first assignment was to put together my "database"...

The database was a list of everyone I knew.  The names.  Addresses.  Phone numbers.  The email addresses.  I was told to stay in contact with these people.

I grow my database every day...

Facebook is just a database.  It is a list of everyone you know.

Facebook will talk to you.  You can even talk back...

Facebook is alive. It has a pulse...

Facebook "friends" reach out to you.  They tell you what is going on?  What is important?  They will let you into their lives.

Just a little bit...

Facebook?  It is a database, but it has a pulse...

FB takes some time, just like AR and other blogs we may use and visit. I keep up with a number of other blogs in some niche areas. It is all about being seen.

Aaron,
I have learned this, it does not matter how much you know what it matters is who you know, connections are the key, don't you think?
Thanks for sharing this re-blog, take care !

Hey there Agent Aaron!  Thanks for re-blogging this post!

Very odd.  I was just reading a post about open houses, read your response, and commented that I agreed with you!  It is a small world!

Thanks again,

Ken
