Friday's Fotos ~ Shooting Butterflies...

What's there not to like about flowers - flying or otherwise? At the end of a hard day, it is relaxing to grab "ole Faithful", go out in the back and shoot butterflies, birds, flowers and what else that happens to wander within range of my viewfinder.
There is a knack and a technique for shooting butterflies. You don't have to go chasing all over the lower 40 like Laura Cerrano did in one of her recent posts.
I will share some of these tricks and techniques on tomorrows My Megapixels Are Bigger Than Your Megapixels. Until then, happy shooting...

I was trying to take some photos yesterday of the hundreds of butterflies that we in the nature reserve where I was walking.  Ha not a one of them would stop and say cheese when I pointed my camera.

Butterflies at least may hold still for a moment!  We've started getting some hummingbirds visiting our nectar feeder again, but they're just a blur!

Nice shot

You need to discuss how the butterfly stands out and the back round looks like it fades to nothing

Enjoy the day

Michael,

The world of butterflies is almost as interesting as the squirrel varieties.
