Personally, I do think Beauty Pagents for women are outdated but.... when you put your house on the market....you are entering a Beauty Pagent whether you like it or not. The judges are the buyers and there are a lot of contestants! The most beautiful and best presented will get noticed and get a lot of attention. Yes, beauty is only skin deep but that's often what starts the relationship! After their beauty has got your attention then you can show off your new roof, energy efficient furnace and air tight windows (hubba hubba). Just think about the comparison. Notice the underlined words that are switched.
It's a Beauty Pagent
There are so many contestants! They have all been getting ready for this time. Months of preparation - working out, eating properly, picking out the right makeup/clothes/accessories that flatter them most. They will be in front of many judges who have so many other contestants to consider. Like many things in our society, the first reaction will be the physical one - how they appear, how attractive they are, how well they have taken care of themselves, what they are wearing, tells a lot about a person before you get more in depth with an interview.
It's still a Beauty Pagent
There are so many houses! They have all been getting ready for this time. Months of preparation - de-cluttering, updating, picking out the right paint/furnishings/accessories that flatter the house most. They will be in front of many buyers who have so many other houses to consider. Like many things in our society, the first reaction will be the physical one - how they appear, how attractive they are, how well they have been taken care of, how they are furnished, tells a lot about a house before you get more in depth with an inspection.
Home Staging is a HUGE factor when you enter your home in that Beauty Contest better known as "On the Market". Declutter, update, curb appeal, furnishings and accessoires should be in the big makeup bag and applied before you walk out on that runway. There are many other contestants and you want to be remembered as the one who "has it all". Call your local HomeStager before you enter the Pageant! They are there to make your home show it's best features!!
