Want a Discounted iPhone? Refurbished Models Released

By
Education & Training with WickedWriter.com

I'm loving my iPhone (yes, it's still not "worn off") and I just found a page on the Apple site that is offering $100 off the units (both 8 and 4 gig models).

Some are refurbished, and some are returns or restocks. All come with the standard warranty and the ability to get an extended warranty -- if you do that sort of thing (I don't).

The catch, after much talking back and forth and emails to and from the folks at AT&T, is that they are STILL requiring a two year contract just to use the phone -- even if you have a contract already, even if you are no longer under the weight of a contract, and even if you buy the phone elsewhere.

A more thorough treatment of what I've learned is available on my "other blog".

I love my iphone as well.  I find clients also love to play on it.  100 bucks off - even better.

Yeah, Adam, I agree that the discount would have been nice back on June 29th -- but I'm glad I didn't wait.

Maureen - sorry for the downer. I just find the way they are handling the iPhones bothersome.

The $100 off was offered before the universal price drop. Since then, the $50 difference is all I've seen.

I did get a refurbished iphone from Apple. And you don't need to sign a two year contract with AT&T. When you get the iphone home and you are signing up put 999-99-9999 in for your social security number. That way you will fail the credit check and they will offer you a Go-Phone plan on a month-to-month basis.

It isn't a great deal minute wise for me, but I need to still cary around my Centro to open lockboxes anyway.

The iphone is not a perfect product, but it is still a great product!
