I am always taken aback when I hear of such a young woman passing away at such a young age.
We have lost one of ours, an Active Rainer, more than that - one of the ones who started out with us in the beginning.
She was a pioneer, one of the courageous ones who trail blazed the internet finding nuggets of truth and bringing it back to us.
She told us what she found that worked - she told of the pit falls of cyber space - she wasn't afraid to go exploring.
But she never did keep everything a secret - she was just that kind of person. She wanted all of us to know what she knew - what she knew that worked.
That is priceless - we may never get to meet precious people whom we meet here in the Rain.
Some come and go - never really making an impact on anyone in the Rain.
Yet others - especially Laurie Manny made an impact - because she put to writing that which would help her fellow man - her Active Rain friends and family.
We lost a great one - one whom I have never met - never had the pleasure of a phone call - but one whom I have gleemed through her postings and learned from - got to know through her written pages - became a better blogger and even a better person for knowing her.
She knew that Active Rain members are more than just bloggers - we are a family - no one knew that better than Laurie Manny!
Her writings will live on - her memory will be in our hearts forever - and that is not just words....
