Jing - great way for agents to communicate with clients

By
Real Estate Agent with MacWin Consulting

JingJing is a screencast tool that allows you to take video, audio or just snapshots of whatever you are viewing on your computer. Need to help a client navigate through your website, want to show them something on MLS or a community website? Sure you can call them, have them go to their computer, spend the next half hour explaining "open your browser, yes the little blue E on your desktop, your desktop, your desktop... ok just click Start, then go to Programs... ok, now down on the bottom right hand side of the screen you'll see a button, yes a button, right click it, no use the right mouse button and click it..." you know the drill. Instead why not just send them a video of you performing the task, let them watch it over and over again if they need to. Jing makes it very easy to grab screenshots and videos straight from your Apple or PC, and then save them or share them on the Web. The coolest part is Jing's integration with Screencast.com, a hosting service for videos recorded off your computer. Once you've recorded a video, you can save it to your Screencast account, and from there you can get an embed code to put it in a blog or other page. Now for the best part, IT"S ALL FREE! Try it today at http://www.jingproject.com/

Hello Todd:

I'm interested in this technology, but it took forever to load and play. My laptop is newer with plenty of memory, my wireless router may be a bit slow and could be the AR servers.  Bottom line I could not watch. sorry

Brian,

I don't seem to have any problem loading and watching them, I also have not heard from any client who's had any issues. I use it all the time, mainly for tech support. You do also have the option of saving the file as an attachment, or if you purchase the Pro version for $14.95 per year you can send the file directly to YouTube, might solve any issue you are having assuming YouTube videos stream nicely on your connection?
