Home On Display was recently asked to stage this beautiful semi-vacant home in Ajax, Ontario. The owners are in the process of moving into another home but continue to have some of their furniture in this property. The challenge was that the home lacked warmth and colour and although it is very beautiful, there was little to capture a buyer's attention.

The first two sets of photos show the room which you first see when you enter the home. It had two love seats and a piano in it. As there was no formal dining room, Home On Display felt it was important to demonstrate that this room could accommodate both a seating area and a formal dining room. Without staging this space, it might have been very difficult for some buyers to envision how it could be best used. (The difference in lighting is due to the photos being taken at different times in the day and the incandescent lights are turned on in the "After" photos).

The next photos are of the living room.  Although the colour is bright and fresh, this would not appeal to all potential buyers. As the owner were unable to re-paint the living room/kitchen area, Home On Display brought in furniture and accessories to complement the space and the colour scheme.  Home On Display had recommended that a large piece of art be hung over the mantle but the home owners felt it would be important for buyers to know this could be used as a TV room.

As you can see, the master bedroom is large and spacious but certainly lacked pizazz! We added bedding and accessories to the owner's belongings and...voila!

Re-arranging the furniture in the spare bedroom and adding colour and accessories helped move this room to a new level of sophistication.

The children's room was gorgeous - great colours and lots of fun. However, it was lacking the final touches it needed to create a truly wonderful, child friendly room.
