We make it what it is

Coming from a very large family and moving many times I learned We make it what it is.

Some come into a beautiful setting and great situation and make the worst of the best.

I try to go into all situations and make the best of whatever it might be. We make it what it is.

This picture comes from #16 Tee Box Granite Falls North golf course Sun City Grand Surprise Arizona.

Now imagine taking this setting and with golf club in hand on a beautiful day. Don't you think it would be hard to ruin this setting and experience.

For some it is very easy and they do not realize how fast they can ruin the day. This someone could have been me 15 years ago.

Today I try to live in the moment and enjoy and make the best of whatever is happening good or bad.

Good reminder to enjoy life in the moment. We just returned from delightful trip to Charlottesville, including a visit to Monticello and the University of Virginia. A couple of days of pleasure can make a big difference in our attitudes.

Jim, thanks for that enlightening post. I fully agree with you about this, especially when we've had a less than perfect day it's easy to let things 'get' to us. I've immigrated twice as a child and have always had to learn to look at the bright side of everything. I think it's something you can condition yourself to do automatically and it's a huge benefit. The only drawback form "making it waht it is" is that you can often forget about what your body needs by being too positive. I am someone who, by sheet discipline, can forget to eat and that can be a touch one. I have to "make lunch" and make sure I eat it to be able to trust that my positive attitude has actual energy to stand on, and then I'm al-right. Thanks again for your post and looking forward to reading more from ya. Cheers.
