Arcado Elementary Back to School Bash

While looking in Access Atlanta for some good kid oriented events to attend this weekend, we came across the Back to School Bash.  It was to be a carnival fund raiser for Arcado Elementary in the Parkview High School cluster.

My kids had a blast! Tickets were reasonable: $12.50 for 25 tickets. Games were 1 ticket and inflatables were anywhere from 2-4 tickets. There was an unlimited inflatable pass available for $12.00.

We opted for the 25 tickets given that my kiddos are 2 and 4.  They got to throw peanuts in the Texas Road House booth and bowl for prizes. There were many other games including bean toss, ring toss and lollipop pick.

There was also a consignment type sale with lots of kids items.   Shoes were as little as $1.

There was a silent auction, karioke and plenty of carnival type food. The festival had vast community support.

I commend the school for putting it in Access Atlanta to make it a true community event.

We will look forward to attending the event again next year.

I wish we had something like that in our area... My 5 year old has 2 weeks before school starts and friday was the last camp day.  This would be a great way to spend the day.

It sure was.  It is good to find affordable family events. Maybe your local school can do something like this?
