Weight Loss ChallengeWell, it hasn't been a good week for both my husband and I with the weight loss challenge. The beginning of the week we were keeping to our diets and exercise, but as the week ended, our nerves got the best of us. Today, we moved our baby into college and we will now be entering a new chapter in our married life. We will become empty nesters. We left the campus this afternoon with an emptiness inside both of us. It was a very emotional day and it was hard to control our urges for hunger the whole day.

Food was being offered to us everywhere on campus and the way we were feeling, I was picking up everything in sight and just putting it in my mouth. I am going to give my head a break tomorrow and restart my diet on Monday. We can't be too hard on ourselves. This week has been emotionally draining but each day will get better.

It will get better. I've dropped 2 kids off to college and seen one take marriage vows. I have a 14-year old left, but can already see the independence and changes. It's a new stage...but a good one.

Congratulations to both you and your husband for a wonderful accomplishment of getting your child into college!  I can understand the empty feeling for you.  However, you two can go out on dates again and be young all over again.  LOL

Hello Michele,  I've lost 35 pounds and need to lose at least 10 more and now I'm doing that yo-yo thing.  Good one day and binging the next.  I've been up and down within about a 4 pound range for months.  Up 2, down 2, up 2, down 2, up 1, down 3.  You know?

I'm hoping by getting involved with "Take it off in the Rain" I can get off this plateau.  It's tough but we can do it!  One day at a time.
