So hopefully Tina's song is crashing through your brain (where it will remain for the rest of the day by the way) as you view these pictures of my roll down the river yesterday.

Mississippi Riverboat 

My husband and I took a sight seeing cruise on a Paddleboat down the Mississippi River and what a glorious day.

We left from downtown St. Paul, traveled south under the High Bridge, and on past many sights. The old Schmidt Brewery, the split of the Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers and on down to Fort Snelling.

Sun shining, breeze blowing, eatting popcorn and sipping a soda with my sweetie while viewing stunning scenery. What else could you ask for? A perfect Summer Day.

This would be a stunning cruise when the leaves start to change in a month or so. Surprise a friend or loved one and take them on the Paddleford. I highly recommend it!

One of the best things to do on a summer day is hangin' out on the River! It looks like you had a great day! I took a paddle wheel cruise on the Mississippi in New Orleans many years ago. It was great fun!

Joan, many people were fishing. I guess I didn't include those pictures. I took 40 of them!

Oh I bet a Mississippi River cruise in New Orleans would be fun Stephanie. I'll have to do that and see how much different the Mississippi is at it's end versus up here where it originates.

Hi Shar,

I have a very good friend who used to work on the Paddleford boats every summer - imagine enjoying the river every day and getting paid for it too. She really misses it. And I miss visiting her at work!

The title of your blog took me back to 1977!

First night on Kunsan Air Base, South Korea.  The NCO Club had a Phillipine band with a very limited number of sets (songs).  While their command of English was better than my ability to speak Phillipino, their pronunciation keep me rocking (laughing) all night long.
