REAL ESTATE PROFESSIONALS...STAY CURRENT, STAY PUT, and...STAY FROSTY.......

All of us are wanting to see the housing ups and downs level out. We are looking for signs that the economy is picking up and we want to see unemployment diminished. We want the current Real Estate cycle to be gone already. We have learned a few lessons, took a few beatings, and now we wish to carry on and carry forward.......

WHAT IS GREATER.....THE PROBLEM OR THE SOLUTION..?

Feast & famine was a term introduced to me when I first inquired about being a Real Estate agent. Besides hearing about the glamor, the new car, clothes and being your own boss, there was a fortune to be made. But this FEAST & FAMINE had me having second thoughts.

It was explained to me that there are times when you are really busy, things are lined up, and money flows and.... the opposite is true too. No matter what you do, you will hit the dry spells or the in-bet-weens. This Feast & famine cycle is not something I liked to hear, but I immediately made a decision to deal with it. My solution: Feast & Save and........ forget this famine nonsense.

I do not live high on the hog. Forget the new car. I dress decently, eat well, and I love this business. I think the last thing is my strength when all else fails. When you love something, it loves you back and...... how can you go wrong after that?

FOR NOW.....LESS IS TRULY MORE

Other visitors to our country have learned how to mine our financial secrets. They come out here, work very hard  sometimes living 3-4 to a room...saving every penny so that they can send money back home and eventually purchase a home here. They have learned to sacrifice and after years of this discipline, acquire a position that allows them to stay here and prosper or sell their homes and go back to their Native country and live very well. Hard work....WORKS all the time

I have been through a few of these Real Estate cycles. I managed to stay ahead and on top of them because I practiced being conservative all the time. I learned what I had to learn. I gleaned from it and sharpened my game. This gives me more to offer my clients who pay me well for my services.

This Real Estate cycle is a good one for discussion. You can learn a lot from it. It can be navigated through successfully too.  As professionals, we need to stay current, stay put, and stay frosty......so we can live to play another day..........

I am with you on this one... I think for those who have never experienced this type of cycle, it has been an life chaning experience.  Many have left the profession.  I also don't have a new car or all the latest gadget, but I will survive this downturn from being careful with money...  I intend to stay current, stay put  and stay frosty!  Love it.

Joan....your the best....we are two peas in a pod. Life is doable, its your mind and emotions that tell you otherwise. We were not put here to be defeated....therefore, anything that happens is a learning opportunity and is cleverly disguised to lead you to a more fulfilling life, if you "go with the presented flow". I remember retiring at age 34, and then shortly after that, losing everything I had. The "second chance" was to live life with more meaning and purpose and was an answer to prayer....With the knowledge that I had, it was easy to go out and start over again. Everything is doable....if you get to doing....... high regards....Joan

My wife has a handle on keeping the wolf away from the door. She has seen us through the lean times by being mindful of our spending in times of plenty.

Hi Glenn.....you chose wisely my friend. I have a good helpmate too and we are traveling well together. The money comes and goes, but are we having fun yet?
