The Simplicity Of Being Organized !!!!

Reblogger Karen Kruschka
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Executives

Barbara's points should be well noted.  With all the social media sites, shopping sites, business correspondence on the computer and email we wind up with more items that require attention than most of us can negotiate - hence the need for lists that don't get lost in the pile

Time is such a precious entity.  We waste so much of it, and we use the lack of it as a legitimate excuse for not working properly and completing all daily tasks.  Many of my methods are very "old school" but they still work for me, and until they stop working, I will continue to use them.  The last task of my work day is to make a list of everything that needs to be accomplished the following day.  I know hand written lists are not techy and are frowned upon by many agents today.  Well, frown all you want, they work for me and I accomplish everything that needs to be accomplished on that list.  Lists usually are not a good tool for many because their work area is so disorganized, they lose the list!!!

It sits next to my computer.  Whether I'm at the office or working from home, it's in my face.  I can't press a key and shut it off.  It doesn't go away unless I throw it away, and that doesn't happen unless every item has a line through it.  It's tough to teach "an old dog new tricks," but if the tricks result in more business and more income, we're not changing that routine.

Good organization skills are essential in every successful business.  Whether you use technology to remind you of the tasks at hand, or a hand written list, prepare in advance for the following day and accomplish all that needs to be done.  Now, isn't that a simple lesson for today ????
