It's been a crazy summer for us here in SoCal and this past week our Los Angeles Home Staging Studio Modern Mecca was busier than ever working on model homes for a new client who will soon be launching a new mixed-use development in an area of the city that is undergoing gentrification.

To assist this Developer and his sale team, Modern Mecca was brought in to design and furnish 2 vacant units in their new building in Los Angeles - a loft and a flat.

After touring the property and doing some research, we narrowed down the ideal target audience for the project: Young professionals, hip creative types, either single or newly married couples with no children. Soon after that we devised, designed and developed a plan to attract this market by offering them the urban, fresh, modern lifestyle they are looking for.

I am still in the process of uploading all the photos to my computer, but here is a sneak peek at one of the units of this staging project:

I love the bowls as well. When I first saw them I knew I just had to have a few as they fit in so well with the color scheme of this unit. When my husband and I first moved to SoCal, we looked at several lofts in downtown LA including the 2121 Lofts. After shopping for months, we ended up settling in OC, but the loft we purchased is huge and absolutely fantastic!

I am hoping that buyers will flock to see this place and make the developer very, very happy : ) It helps that I am a loft dweller living and breathing this lifestyle and understand the emotional and rational triggers of this audience. I am so glad you liked the color palette! It was 112 degrees inside this unit when we were staging and the colors were so refreshing and easy on the eyes that they actually helped us 'mentally' cool off : )

I think that besides pillows I have a lil' THING for bowls too! I can't help - I love them! The pillow and bowl collection is getting completely out of control at the Mecca HQs! : )

I considered setting the table, but since this a model unit and located far from my office I thought something simpler like the bowls would be easier to maintain. They add so much drama and just the right amount of color I needed. I love white! I disagree with folks that think white is boring. White is extremely sexy when done right! Go for it, girl!

That's exactly what I was going for - Clean, modern, sleek and airy for the sophisticated and design-conscious young professional : ) The seller is advertising the project as a 'mid century' loft building, so the other unit was staged in a bit funkier, more mid century modern look, and I used pops of orange throughout the space. I too love doing tablescapes! I've been doing more and more of them lately as they help highlight a specific object or a collection - in this case the lovely green bowls. I feel they add so much flair and style without having the dining table look 'too staged' - As you can see nothing about me or my work is old-school : )

We are on the same page when it comes to staging homes, my friend and I am already a huge fan of your work. I am happy to see that we share a similar look and style.
