When An Open House Visitor Won't Leave - (Almost) Speechless Sunday

Real Estate Agent with United Real Estate TX #0552717

When An Open House Visitor Won't Leave.

What's an agent to do when it's time to end the open house and one of the visitors won't leave?  Lizard at Open House

This critter entered with a couple just a few minutes after the open house began. He initially had trouble getting good footing on the ceramic tile entry, but successfully wiggled his way to the carpet in the formal living room.  The couple wandered through the home and eventually left, but the lizard decided he liked the house and was going to look around a bit longer.

Every once in a while I'd check on Larry.  He hung out in the living room for about an hour.  When I went to check on him again, I found him in the utility room where he remained for the rest of the open house.

Lizard at Open HouseSince this is a vacant property, there's nothing in there designed for lizard rescue, not even a broom.  Larry and I discussed the situation.  I was perfectly happy to lock him in when I left, with the understanding that he'd find his way out tonight.  I hope he keeps his promise. Or decides to make an offer on the house.

Lorrie - I keep a number of supply items in the trunk of my car .... paper products, small tool kit, flashlight, extension cord, broom and dust pan .... and I use them regularily!  Now he's going to want "flies for keys..."

Jack: Flies for keys - love it!

Jason: I'd be glad to share him with you.

Rodney: Worse?  I guess the couple he came in with could have turned around and left immediately.  He could have been bigger.  That would have been worse, too.  I guestimate he's about 12", which is big enough.
