Hi Liz & Bill, I look on the BBB for builders, especially smaller ones before getting a potential buyer into a bad situation! Great post!

Joan,
It's that same selection process that led us to ask ourselves why we weren't members! So as of March this year, we are! No one has called us yet because of it, but we don't think it hurts to provide that extra avenue for clients to find us, and to know how seriously we take keeping our reputations intact!

Dawn, It seems to add another level of confidence to sellers when we do our listing presentations. No one has called us direct saying that's how they found us, but less than six months so far. Perhaps the post will catch someone's eye!

I think I've only failed to be a BBB member for all of three years of my business career, and they happen to be the last three years. BBB has always used the business yellow pages as their list for recruiting, but I haven't advertised in the business yellow pages since 2007 since I don't have a land line anymore.

Russel, We had an "aha" moment after looking for contractors. So far, no calls from anyone citing finding us on BBB online directory, and I think they're eliminating their hard copy version this year.
