Thirty-two years of broadcasting classical music, and 26 years of broadcasting 24 hours each day. The Classical Station, WCPE-FM can only be described as a local success story!
Mozart! Vivaldi! Bach! Beethoven! Schubert! Ravel! All these composers and many, many more, and the greatest conducters and orchestras, are played here daily, and introduced by people who clearly deeply love the music.
What is more timeless than 18th and 19th Century "Hits" which have passed the tests of time, which we never tire of hearing?
For the last several years, I have listened to WCPE-FM on my computers via their Windows Media stream. A click of my desktop icon instantly provides me with "Great Classical Music 24 Hours a Day."
And, WCPE is "Listener Supported." You don't get a chopped tune with an announcer talking over the first 30 seconds, then 5 minutes of commercials, and another short piece. It is a truly glorious venue for enjoying great music throughout the day! And, since WCPE is a non-profit holding a 501 (c) (3) certificate, any financial support you care to offer is tax deductible.
So what else do you need to know? Well, WCPE-FM's Wikipedia Page offers a host of WCPE history and technical information.
