The Millners are a family of wine makers descending from the heart of Europe, now making wine in the heart of Minnesota. Jon & Anna met in a winery in Iowa. With Jon's family history of making wine and, as a agricultural engineer, Annamaria's knowledge of wine making, and experience gained from working in vineyardsin Wurttemburg Germany, it is only fitting that they should have their own winery. In 2006 a beautiful dream came true, they started the Millner Heritage Vineyard & Winery in Kimball Minnesota.
Millner Heritage Vineyard & Winery is a European style winery with a panoramic courtyard view of the inspired grape producing 9 acres of rich central Minnesota farm land. The Winery focuses on producing high quality wines from regional grapes and they have won several medals from the International Cold Climate Wine Competition. To date the Millner family has entered 5 wines in the ICCWC and has come home with 4 medals. The ICCWC focuses on wines made from cold hardy grape cultivators.
On October 2nd & 3rd Millner Heritage will hold its 1st Annual Oktoberfest & Grape Stomp. Stop by for riding vineyard tours, winery tours, enjoy one of their music concerts and, of course, a wine tasting. Millner Heritage Vineyard & Winery and their award winning wines is a wonderful reason to love living in the Central Minnesota area.
