This is the projected path up the East Coast for Hurricane Earl which is already at Category 4 status with winds up to 135mph . It has already caused major problems at the New Jersey shore from the violent rip tides it's producing. 80% of all water rescues are caused by riptides. There were 250 life guard calls to help those swimmers at Ocean City, Maryland over the past weekend. So batten down the hatches especially those of you along the coast of North Carolina and New England, here comes Earl.

Yikes! It always completely floors me when people know that a hurricane is coming and yet they do nothing and will not leave. I hope that it misses everything and goes back out to sea to dissipate. :(

Thank goodness this has been down graded.  They did say on the news though that the life guards had 70 rescues at the beach already.  70-People just don't listen!
