- Great Area for Outdoor Sports Enthusiasts! Whether you are horseback riding, hiking or 4 wheeling, there are plenty of great places to challenge your skills or just enjoy the scenery. The Wickenburg Conservation Foundation in cooperation with BLM is currently working on a master trail plan for a 25 mile radius around Wickenburg. In addition to that, there are plenty of other areas to enjoy out Beautiful Desert such as Vulture Peak, the Hassayampa River and Box Canyon where you will find a river that flows year round.
- Small Town - Friendly Community! The 2006 Census Bureau estimated the population of Wickenburg to be 6,423. My estimate is around 7500, and it probably grows to approximately 12,000 in the winter. Unlike the massive suburbs of Phoenix where you will find trac homes on small lots that all look the same, you will find the homes in Wickenburg to be on larger lots and to display much more character. Even the shopping in Wickenburg has its' own special "Small Town" flavor!
- Our Very Own Western Museum! (which we are more than happy to share with the rest of the world) The Desert Caballero Western Museum is a showcase of western culture and art. They also take a very active role in educating the community about the History of Wickenburg through Local Jeep Tours and Lecture Series. In Addition, they host an annual event called "Cowgirl Up" that features famous Cowgirl Artists throughout the nation.
- The Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts! The Webb Center offers 600 seats in a State-of-the-Art Theatre setting. They have a history of bringing well-known talent and culture to the small town of Wickenburg. From the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra to Hal Ketchum to "Footloose", they have something for everyone. Every season is a treat to find out what the new lineup is.
- Only 3 Hours from Las Vegas! For those of you who need a break from the Saguaros, Panoramic Mountain Views and colorful Desert Sunsets, the glitter and glitz of Las Vegas is only 3 hours away. Get away to enjoy a show, a cosmopolitan nightlife or nonstop gambling!
- Close Enough to the Big City (Phoenix)! Located approximately 50 miles from Phoenix, the residents of Wickenburg have access to an International Airport, and Major Hospitals and Medical Facilities if necessary. Yet, we are far enough away to enjoy the clean air and solitude of the small town!
- Top Quality Schools! Although the Wickenburg School District encompasses a large geographic area with five schools, they have made an effort for each school to maintain the feel of a small school. Wickenburg High School was recently named to U.S. News and World Report as being one of the top schools in the U.S. Wickenburg also offers several private Christian Schools to choose from as well.
- Great Climate with Beautiful Views & Sunsets! If you can make it through the summer, the rest of the year's a a breeze! Daytime highs in the summer (June-August) will average 102-108 degrees. The evenings will still cool off nicely (60's). The rest of the year daytime temperatures will range from the 60's to the 90's, giving you plenty of outdoor time to enjoy the Bradshaw Mountains, Vulture Peak and the Weaver Mountains that surround Wickenburg.
- Community Celebrations! Wickenburg has a very active Chamber of Commerce who puts on several events throughout the year for the Community and to promote Wickenburg. Some of my favorites are: Gold Rush Days, The Bluegrass Festival and Fiesta De Septiembre!
- A Wide Variety of Homes to Choose From! Almost all of the homes in Wickenburg display a character unlike anything that you would find in Phoenix. Larger lots are common, and mini ranches are not unusual. We have affordable housing, million dollar luxury homes and everything in between!
