Home Buyers need accurate information regarding Property Taxes In Temecula.  I get many questions about Property Taxes in Riverside County.  It can be confusing as areas can differ by thousands of dollars in the amount of annual property tax owed.  For instance, Starlight Ridge, is a low tax area due to the fact it is an older area and taxes there are approximately 1%, however in Paloma Del Sol, property taxes are in the 1.6-1.8% range.  

I always include a Property Tax sheet with the listings that my buyers are interested in

The lowest property Tax Areas are the areas that have the base tax rate only with no assessments.  The base tax rate for Riverside County is just over 1% of property value, or sales price.  


(Assessments can up to another 1% making the total 2% and higher in some areas!)

Investors and First Time Buyers alike are interested in knowing which areas of Southwest Riverside County have the least amount of property taxes.

Starlight Ridge, Village Grove, Rancho Vista Estates, Chardonnay Hills, Vintage Hills, Meadowview, Santiago Estates, and the Temecula Wine Country are the areas with the lowest property taxes.

I do the same. I find that if I address the tax rates upfront it becomes less of an issue and we can focus more on the home.

Great agents pay attention to this up front. I hate when we go into escrow with a buyer & their agent never disclosed the tax base is now 2.5% with mello roos factored in.. So many of the newer communities have ridiculous tax rates as even though the base tax drops, the mello roos stay (thanks to the builders). An educated buyer makes everybody's day go a lot smoother!
