Sprint Everything Plus Referral Program

We should be getting our new Android phones within a week...can't wait to see how they compare with the iPhone! BTW, we decided to try out the "affordably priced" $99 Samsung Intercept phones, which were just released in July. (Note: Amazon has the Intercept priced at $0.01 but the monthly fee is $20/mo. more for 24 months).

There is no talk about 4G coming to the Greater Sacramento Area and the hefty price tag on the $199 EVO 4G and $249 Epic 4G also come with an additional $10/mo. (per phone) data charge...PLUS an extra $30/mo. (per phone) charge if you want to activate the built-in Wi-Fi. Besides, only the Intercept comes in Satin Pink! :)

Leilani,
Thanks for the update and I know that many Realtors / real estate professional shall appreciate your input, I would like that when you start knowing your android and getting used to, put your pros and cons about it how do you feel in your real estate profession about this android compared with iphone, the reason that I'm telling you is this.

IPhone is great for multimedia, but really it's not so Google, do you get my point?  Google and Android comes together and everything that is done by android developers has to be with Google that's what I love of it, so you have use the phone at its great potential !

Ray, after watching a few "introductory" videos on the Samsung Intercept...I'm looking forward to several improvements from my iPhone 3G! The keyboard for one, as I'll be able to view the entire screen (albeit smaller than the iPhone) when texting and also have easy access to typing numbers. I'll definitely write more in your Google & Android group when I become more familiar with the Android! :)

Leilani

P.S. Yes, we're getting the Samsung Intercept - gray for Bob and pink for me...obviously! ;)

I may have to look into this program. It's time to upgrade to a newer phone anyway.

Leilani - Thanks for sharing the info about your savings. My current contract is not up until July 2011. At that time I will be looking into finding another carrier. How is the reception on the Sprint network? Have you had any dropped calls?

Robert, we haven't received the phones yet...the EPRP is done online and the phones are shipped directly to us. Our contract isn't up until December, but even with the $75 (x2) ETF, we still save money by switching over now. Also, we do have dropped calls with AT&T, who is our current carrier.

Leilani - I remember when sprint was nextel we had a lot of problems with dropped calls. I did visit the sprint store the other day and they told me Jacksonville was the only city right now in Florida that has 4g.

Robert, I also had Nextel years ago...and did have dropped calls! However, even with AT&T (our last provider), we still had dropped calls in the Sacramento area, but not in the SF Bay Area. :)

We already have 4G in tiny old Eugene, OR.  Sprint is moving so fast on 4G, only your local offices probably know what to tell you.

And I never have dropped calls here in my metro area or any outlying small city.  Sprint doesn't have great coverage in the far valleys of my two mountain ranges....but I never have problems locally.

Jim, you are very lucky to have great Sprint coverage (and 4G!) in your area...not only do they have great plan pricing, but I love their Epic 4G and Intercept phones, as well! Unfortunately, Sprint has spotty coverage in California...at least in the major metropolitan areas of Sacramento, SF Bay Area and from what I hear, SoCal as well.

If we had good reception with Sprint, they'd be my carrier of choice.
