Today is my baby's first day of Kindergarten (He hates it when I call him Baby) and We have hurricane Earl heading to our area late tomorrow night. So my kitchen counters are filled with 3 gallon water jugs, emergency supplies, new backpack, lunch box, school supplies, etc. I am a neat freak so the "Stuff" is driving me nuts! On top of these two major things is the lovely sinus infection...you know, can't breathe, can't hear, can't open my eyes 100%....It stinks.
Woke up really early and couldn't fall back to sleep; too many things running through my mind and too much pressure in my head. Made the best dang cup of coffee, took
one sip, sat it on the coffee table while I grabbed my laptop and ....Maddie (my 14 year old cat), jumped on the table, throwing my coffee cup into the next room. If you have ever spilled a cup of coffee, you know how it multiplies in the air, right? There is not one piece of furniture or one accessory in my living room that didn't get splattered with my tasty coffee. Even the 3 gallon water jugs on the kitchen counter received the coffee shower this morning!
It's going to be one of those days....Or is it? I now have my second cup of coffee (it's even tastier than the first), and the attitude that today is the greatest day.
My baby is starting Kindergarten today (he hates it when I call him baby) and he is so excited and ready to start this new chapter in his life. I am so proud of the little man he has become. The track of Earl still shows the storm staying offshore, so other than Tropical Storm force winds and rain (we need the rain), we should be okay here on the Crystal Coast. Praying for the rest of the Eastern Coastline to stay safe too! I took my sinus medication (will be loopy soon) and thank goodness for antibiotics. While everything within 20 feet of the coffee incident was covered with my morning brew...My laptop escaped unharmed!
Life is Good, Here's to a great day!
