Back To School For Gig Harbor Washington
I am very excited my daughter is back to school. I have felt the last couple of weeks that she is bored and so I have been trying to do extra things with her and I have dropped my job a little. So now I am back in business 100%.

This school year I have noticed a difference. I don't know if you have noticed that on certain news stations it has been a hot topic. I have been complaining about our nations educationsystem since I was in school. I will admit, I didn't go like I should have especially once I hit high school. My mother thinks it's because I wanted to socialize more than go to school. I have been trying to tell her for years that she could be further from the truth. School is the best place to socialize so why would I not go...
The reason I didn't go very often was because I was bored, I felt I wasn't getting taught anything, and I also felt that I wasn't respected or taken seriously.
Now, I don't know about all of you, but when you have all those things on you as a human, would you want to learn very much. NO...
As I sit here and watch this debate, I laugh, because we still as a nation are not getting the point. They are talking about more DAYS in schoolvs the way it is now. WHAT??? More days doesn't = smarter kids. It's the quality and the way the education is presented. Plane and simple. Until you allow teachers to have a little more creativity and loosen the reigns and you start holding them more accountable, then nothing is going to change.
Now that I have a daughter in middle school I think about this all the time. My daughters school does a really good job! But... I live in an area that has the resources and money to achieve this. What about the rest of America???
Education shouldn't be a matter of where you live.
What do you think?? My point about this is we talk about schools a lot when we are trying to sell a home. Do we really know what we are talking about??
