One of my favorite past times during the summer in Boise, was to go to the Boise River Festival every June. The River Festival is no more but this week we get to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of flight in Idaho with a balloon Festival of about 30 Hot Air Balloons.
The week long event is free to the public and balloons will decorate the skies in the mornings starting on Thursday September 2nd Balloons launch at 7:15 am each morning.
The week will culminate with a Night Glow light show and live concert on Saturday September 4th from 6 pm to 10pm at Ann Morrison Park. This will be the first time in 8 years that a Night Glow event has been held. This night glow event will be in support of the Child Abuse Awareness campaign "live for 175"
Saturday morning come down to the park for a pancake breakfast and a balloon competition.
Thanks to KTVB channel 7 and a number of other businesses including: The Idaho Lottery, The Statre of IDaho, The City of Boise, the Federal Aviation Administration, Lighter than Air American, Peak Broadcasting and many others.
This is a Family Friendly event....so come on down to see the fun all week long!!
