Lake Sinclair Drawdown 2010 planned for October 20th
If you live or own property on Lake Sinclair, now is the time to plan. Because if you "PLAN" do do any work on your waterfront you much have a permit issued by Georgia Power to prevent work stoppage or delay. The drawdown is a great time for new work, repair work or even some excavation or dredging, but you must first have a permit from Georgia Power.

340 feet above sea level is standard full pool for Lake Sinclair. The begin descent date is October 20,2010 and lake levels will be drawn to between 335 feet and 337 feet with the lower levels being seen in the A.M. hours.
Of course this drawdown is weather related and conditions could change at anytime. For example if we get LOTS of rain beginning on or around October 20, 2010 it could start later and if it happens to be no rain at all on or around November 19, 2010 it could be a little longer reaching full pool levels again.
So if you have work to do on property you own with Lake Sinclair shoreline, NOW is the time to be getting those permits. Don't wait until the last minute or you might not get your permit or be able to schedule someone to do the work. Plan now and have success in whatever shoreline project you need done.
It's a great time to repair seawalls, docks, boathouse bracing, and even in general just clean up around your dock and shoreline from trash that may have been dropped or washed there.

It contains lots of great information.
