I got a great laugh when I followed a link on Twitter to a recent article in the Wall Street Journal by cartoonist Scott Adams, the creator of Dilbert. http://on.wsj.com/dyWuBd Adams and his wife had quite the adventure. Here is one of his observations: "As a rule, the greener the home, the uglier it will be. I went into the process thinking green homes were ugly because hippies have bad taste. That turns out to be nothing but coincidence." Enjoy!

Hi Zeta ~ That was a fun article - thanks! He's singing my song when he writes "The greenest home is the one you don't build."

Thanks for commenting, Liz! Your quote is a variation on what Richard Moe, the longtime head of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, said at Green Build in Boston a couple years ago. I thought it was closer to "The greenest building is the one that is already built." but I am not sure. In response to your comment, I wanted to be associated with you. I created an Active Rain Green group just a minute ago. Want to contribute to it? Let's be associates! I went to B. U. and was lucky enough to live in Cambridge for a couple years many years ago.
