Wordless Wednesday - California State Railroad Museum

Love the trains!  I took my son there last weekend at the tail end of our Lake Tahoe vacation.  Not sure about you, but I love trains.

California State Railroad Museum

The trains in this museum are huge!  And I hear it is the most visited train museum in the US.  I was amazed at the size of the displays, and the number of them!

California State Railroad Museum

This museum draws me back year after year.

California State Railroad Museum

This is the actual train that you can take for a 45 minute ride up the Sacramento River.  You can go first class, and ride in A/C and get soda and chips along the way too!

Hi Chris ~ Very cool. Bet it was a blast.  My grandfather worked on the railroad so I have a soft spot for trains for sure.  Their stocks are doing well too - we need to buff up the railroads for today's world - anything that gets an 18-wheeler off the road is ok with me.

When my kids were little this was one of their favorite trips - they later had the chance to do some long trips on Amtrak as teenagers and loved that too.
