I am never disappointed when I drop by Laurel's Wine Shop for conversation, knowledge and.... oh, yes, wine.
Laurel has served Cannon Beach as Mayor and is well respected in town for that contribution. She has been very active in the HRAP ,Haystack Rock Awareness Program, and in her spare time has a vineyard in the "Valley."
One of my fondest memories was when she had a bumper crop of grapes and needed help. I bet 20 people from Cannon Beach came to go through the vineyard with scissors and gloves to trim the grapes so that the really great bunches could have enough room to increase in size. The bag of remnants we took home was heavenly.
