A FAKE MORTGAGE COMPANY
Thanks to Dee for this one. Take a look at the FDIC's latest attempt to educate consumers about potential mortgage scams. If it sounds too good to be true, then it usually is.
Have you heard about this? Esteemed Lending Services is a fictitious company on the internet there to educate people about scams.
It is the brain child of the Federal Trade Commission. There tag line is "A loan for every situation. Guaranteed". The site promises loans and interest rates best suited to you, even if your credit is less that stellar they can help. The tease continues with things like refinancing existing debt, lowering your mortgage payments and cash to pay for expenses that are unexpected. Can you see how a struggling home owner can easily fall victim if this website were real?
All the appropriate tabs you would find on any website that offers a service this website has. Testimonials, privacy policy, FAQS, contact us, etc. But if you click on any of the tabs a warning pops us that says: "If you responded to an offer like this one...You could have been scammed!" Therein lies the warning about scams. Check it out. esteem lending
The FTC further shows how to avoid a scam, and red flags you should watch out for when considering applying for a loan from a website you may think is reputable.
