September 1....a new season for all.

Kids are back to school, but the heat remains 94 in Northern NH today...what the hell. I was bent and determined to hit the river on such an Unusually hot Day in the Mountains.

My wife was off to some art classes out of state, our son with new car...graces us for food and shelter. Even though it was really warm for September 1st...I decided I was free and going to play golf.

There are some nice spots along the river that the golf course runs. I was here to play not swim, The wish was no swimming for my golf balls as well (if you catch my drift).

the river was as clear as glass today...Hurricanes near the coast but hardly a breath of air here.

Almost home the 17th hole is in sight September 1st 2010....No one is thinking of the fall when it 94 degrees out.

September 1st, may not signal a big change where you live but here we know the First snow will happen before the end of next month. That’s right before the end of October we will get nights cold enough to snow. It all goes so fast, we will start to see the change of leaf colors very soon…then ski season. I’m glad I got out and golfed tonight it all goes so fast. I hope you enjoyed my shots of the river tonight.

All Shots taken at the Jack O’Lanter golf course in Woodstock New Hampshire. Ask me about the Condos I have listed there.

I bet the water is a lot cooler than the air... it looks cold.  I bet my husband would have enjoyed spending today with you on the course.  He doesn't get to play much, but he loves it.  As always, I love your photos.  The second where you can see the bottom is my favorite among these... how deep is that water?

Tammy, the water is pretty cool and clear...that stretch is 15 feet deep or so.

Loved all the pictures.  It was a beautiful and cool and less humid day in Minnesota.

I am a covered bridge afficiando.  So thanks for throwing that one in!  I love red ones the best.

Steve, great shots and you are so right about it all going so fast.  Time really does seem to speed up the older we get.

That course looks great!  Even the best courses here in NJ are burnt...it was a tough summer.

Laura, We have had some great weather here this summer, and it is odd that the first official "Heat Wave" of the year hit us in September ( 3+ days over 90).
