You Want to Know - Can I?

By
Real Estate Agent

Honestly, I sometimes wish I could let folks in Greater Sacramento know, that I am marinating in the Jacuzzi at California Family Fitness, three days a week around 3:00 pm.  I invariably get out of the pool from swimming laps, and into the spa to enjoy 10 minutes of closed eyes while getting into the Zen of things.  My eyes pop open with the questions that come with the stampede of oncoming feet into the jacuzzi.

Occasionally, those who know I'm "into real estate" will accompany their gallop on the spa steps with a question or two.

This week, the predominate scenario is that which is visited upon many homeowners, who would like to stay in their homes and are wondering if they can refinance to take advantage of the current low interest rates.

Refinancing has become unattainable, for many who would otherwise benefit from it.  Many homeowners have mortgages with higher interest rates than they can handle.  If they could take advantage of lower interest rates, they'd be fine.

For some, there is a program that may help.  It is a government plan, titled, "Making Home Affordable."  The plan was implemented, while hoping to assist many, who wouldn't otherwise qualify to refinance to new lower interest rates.

Many homeowners wonder if their existing mortgages are held by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.  You can click on the , "Making Home Affordable" website to find out.

Myrl,

Great title for your new book, "The Zen of Real Estate." It's no longer location, location, location thats keeping the real estate market up, it's rates, rates, rates.

Marchel - I could see some cute young real estate agent doing a spa show.  We could name it the "Real Estate Spa Guy" or "Real Estate Spa Babes". . .But it won't be me doing that show:-)

Tammy - Now that would be a vision.  I am loyal to the Speedo brand, since I was a Speedo rep in the early 1980s.  But perhaps I could add a neck tie:-)

Myrl,

We are always working, even when we are at leisure.  You might say that we are on call 24/7.  LOL  Good to hear that at least you do take the time (at least try to) for yourself.

Brigita - It is important that we all find an outlet.  I imagine it is horses for you. . .But for me it's the pool and spa:-)

Steve - I have sent more folks to that "Making Home Affordable" site, than I care to remember.  Another website, I send them to is www.hud.gov - The two websites together make a valuable resource.

Barbara-Jo - For all the controversy about the Making Home Affordable program not being the huge success folks had hoped for, it still has managed to save a significant number of people that I am aware of.  It is worth exploring.
