I took the 30 blogs in 30 day challenge ten days ago, and I have learned a great deal. I have actually been a member of Active Rain for about 3 years, but I never wrote a blog until a couple months ago. I wasn't even 100% what AR was all about until a Title Company reached out to me and started talking it up. At the beginning of the 30 days I wrote whatever I could to constitute a blog, but as I continued I got better. The ideas started coming faster and stronger. I started "calling shots" on other featured blogs, and I too got my second feature just yesterday. I am addicted now to trying to write a blog that will get featured, and anytime I have an idea I jot it down and work on it as a Word document.
I am really starting to see how AR can really help my business in the long run. My featured blog was re-blogged yesterday, and a Realtor in GA had a question about a friend who is doing a Reverse Mortgage near her. There are more connections that have been made and referrals passed (that unfortunately didn't qualify), but this network and blogging itself can really work if it's done right! I am excited about what I am learning, and it's all thanks to Active Rain and the structure they have online that promotes the blogging and reading of other blogs.
